I am a full-time student new to web programming. I am like about to lose my mind trying to figure out why I can't write a show_image() function as required by my instructor

, and this is what has led me to join today. I hope to befriend many talented, knowledgeable, friendly web programmers/developers as I plan to go into this field upon graduating...even though this situation is making me want to give up!! I look forward to learning, and hopefully sharing knowledge...

I hope it helps...I've read so many things but none of what I've read looks like what my instructor wants me to do. Thanks for the advice...I'm on my way over there...

With the help of my instructor, I have figured out my problem. You gotta love this stuff...my problem was fixed with the following two pieces of info:

[num] and ("+i+")

This stuff drives me crazy but I absolutely love it. So for now, I'm like totally super cool

Give me a day or so and I will be pulling my hair out again!! Still have a few things to fix on my page like making my slideshow cycle or stop depending on whether or not a checkbox is selected, and to click the up and down arrow to increase the value of the number of seconds in my input elements...hopefully I can figure those things out on my own...but I will still surf the forums to see what I can see.

Thanks again to all the nice people here...I'm glad I joined and I hope I can help someone someday.
