Post Ourcolour

Hi all,

Just joined the forum and taking a look around.

My web address is http://www.ourcolour.co.uk

I'm here looking for new ideas and ways to improve the way we currently run our business.

Has anyone had any dealings with Pantone and how you can match your printer to Pantone Colours.

Thanks,

Chris

Re: Ourcolour

Welcome!

Printers and Pantone are two different things. Printers use CMYK to produce colors, but Pantone colors are specially made colors that are mixed using uniform pigment. Pantone colors always stay the same, and there is no variation if they're done right (and if they aren't, complain loudly... I got a ton of free printing materials from a printer in town that seriously screwed up an order of business cards)

Post Re: Ourcolour

Hi Thanks,

Our Colour might be somthing useful to your printers then.

It allows you to print out 9000+ colour charts with the RGB code for each one, this then allows you to match your printer to any Pantone colour (within reason), or any colour you have that you want your printer to reproduce.

You print out 36 pages with 256 colour chips on each, match these to your fabric, plastic, paper etc and create your colour chart online for distribution as either a .ACT an .EPS or even print out with RGB code and colour names you have provided and input.

htttp://www.ourcolour.co.uk

Thanks and If you want a trial version to see weather it could be of use to you, just drop me an e-mail.

Chris.

Re: Ourcolour

Interesting. I still use Pantone colors for printing, though. My business cards use Toyota Red. Mmmm. They're foiled too

It sounds like he has a trivia troll in his closet. They are easy to care for and don't make to much of a mess.

You need to train your troll before you let them out of their cage. Boy, you don't know anything about trivia trolls, do you.
