Hello from New Orleans

Looks like a good group here. I'll be mostly be coming here for help and advice but will be glad to contribute where I can. Although I first started building websites about ten years ago I haven't done any designing in about six years so I feel like a noobee. In fact I just recently built my first Css site and, as simple as it is, it took me about two months to get it where it is. Feel free to check it out and offer any criticism or advice.

On a personal note, I'm a 53 yr old single guy from New Orlaens La. I'm a big Saint fan and I like PC games and reading history. I am getting back into web design mostly because I've been watching a freind of mine make a great living on the 'Net. Back in 98-99 I had a couple of sites generating some money for me but I dumped them because they were porn related and I didn't feel good about making money that way. I'm not saying it's wrong for other people it just didn't feel right for me. So now I'm hoping to build some adsense income and maybe not have to work at the crappy sales job I had to take after Katrina wiped us out.

Welcome, Boutte. What part of the city do you live in? When I lived there (for school) it was on Desire. (For anyone wondering...Yes, there is a streetcar named Desire.)

I'm in Metairie. Right next to the 17th st. canal. Luckily (for me) the levee broke on the N.O. side. Have you been here since the storm? It's bad, especially in New Orleans. Jefferson Parish wasn't hit nearly as bad. The most water people got you here was 1-3 feet whereas N.O and St Bernard got any where from a foot to 10 or 12 feet.

Unfortunately, not. I lived by the Desire Canal so I imagine I have been under water. All I did while watching what happen was lots of tears and I can't repeat what I thought about the shrub.
