Maybe I should go! But I do need help.

Hi,
All you clever web designers. I feel that I should exit screen left because I am not a designer, artist or even a worker. I am retired and just wanted to get some help with my desire to access my web site, which is not designed yet, through Front Page. I was able to open Front Page and it would present me with a password entry point and in no time at all I was able to see files that I had previously published.
Now, after upgrading to Vista, I am not able to get back to the site. I have followed the help files in Front Page, as best as I can understand them, and the only thing I have been able to achieve is to set up what I believe to be a sub web.
In other words, I can access the web site and I can recognise the name of the host server, I can publish new files but the one thing I can't do now is to see the old files on the main site.
If this makes any kind of sense to anyone I would really be glad to learn where or how I am going wrong.

I am puzzled at present because if I use Explorer in Vista and click on my web site folder I am able to see all of the files etc that I have uploaded previously. If I then click in order to open any of the files displayed nothing happens. If I rightclick on a file for the properties I get the url displayed, type of file and date last modified. I am unable to do anything else. I have not found a way of connecting with the site through Front Page. I think I have created a sub web but of course I really need the parent site.
Any help would be much appreciated.
