New to Forums - Inexperienced Web Designer

Hi.

I'm not new to Web design. My first Web sites went up in 1996 and I've had pages on the Web ever since. Most of them have just been personal pages and whatnot.

Even though I'm not new, I am definitely inexperienced. I know only basic html-- pictures, links, and text. I can throw in a table here and there, but that's about it. I've never used web-page building software-- only typed my html out by hand in a text editor. (Most of my pages end up looking like this-- www.hellotim.net -- clean and simple, but probably boring to everyone but me and my family.)

I've two computers-- the new one is five years old. The one I make my web pages on is an 8+ year old mac running Mac OS 9. I kind of like the simplicity of my web pages because 90% of pages these days don't work on my old computers (especially the mac). I feel good when I know that my page will work on everyone's computer, not just the newest ones.

Anyway, for the first time I'm working on a site that won't be a "personal web page". It's www.superteacherworksheets . (I know it's very rough draft stages right now.) I'm hoping that, eventaully if I can get some hits on the site, I would like to put google adsense on and try to make a little bit of money.

I found this forum and hope to learn some tricks to update my html abilities. I want my new page to look modern enough so that people will acutally visit it.

Thanks for listening to me ramble. Nice to mee you all.
