Hi everybody!

It's very nice to find a forum filled with such smart and friendly people. I actually know nothing at all about web design or development, but this seems like it might be the right place to find the help that I'm looking for.

I'm probably the last sort of person that you'd expect to see on a site like this. I'm an old (34) woman, a farmer, a housewife, and a mom. I'll probably never have a thing to add to any conversation here, but if this is a problem just let me know and I'll avoid posting again.

I could use a little help figuring out where to place the question that I have. I am actually looking for someone to help me build a website (lol, okay what I really want is for someone to build a website for me) from the ground up. I know the type of site that I have in mind (and I can provide a link that will illustrate what I want), but I have no idea how to do it. I think that it would involve either PHP or Perl, but I don't know what these things are.

Welcome to Webforumz, this is the best place for you to learn about how to build an affective website. If you are looking to have someone build you a website you can give your price range and what the site is supposed to be for in the Job Opportunities forum. But we would love to help you learn how to develop a website, if you have time and are willing to learn, that might save you some money.

Re: Hi everybody!

Welcome to Webforumz, candh. You will enjoy learning how to make a website. I didn't start until after I retired. And I started exactly where you are now...on then ground floor. At least try...it's lots of fun and we are all here to help.
