Red face hi and questions

hello everyone,
im new, still looking around, wanted to say hi and ask a few questions, maybe someone can answer.
im new to web site creating, im good with computers and software, but am not a programmer.
i want to create a simple web site, but i need customer support chat there - to be able to talk to visitors, one in one chat window, but many chat window at a time if needed (1 for each person)(sort of like msn messenger).
i wonder if theres anything free i can use?
is it hard to set it up?
thanks

Re: hi and questions

Hello

You can add a php script to your site if you have php hosting on a linux server i have some good templates for design needs and script packages on my site for free download if you want to check them out i believe there is one script in there for live one on one help chat which is a php script they are fairly easy to add to your site and edit to your design liking, if you would like to check them out goto http://www.webmaxtemplates.com and sign up free then goto download section and download the scripts package look for the 83 php script package and seach through them for the live one on one chat script. if you need help installing just email me and ill see if i can assist you. Also there are some good scripts for php on www.planetsourcecode.com and good php instruction on www.webmonkey.com
if you'd like a crash course on php.

Hope this helps
Brian

Re: hi and questions

Welcome to Webforumz, I would recommend not using a chat room, their are allot of beginners on webforumz, most of them just ask the question and wait a couple of minutes and someone has answered them. To be honest I don't know of any website designer chat room...sorry!!

Re: hi and questions

Oh my gosh....I have the perfect thing for you...here is the link.

http://www.tufat.com/s_flash_chat_chatroom.htm

Try the demos, you should get the picture....really easy to install and customize. Plus it is only $5 bucks so it is cheap as well. Also their are chat features, that most website hosts include with their plans. For example, I included fantisco which will install hundreds of cool free scripts for you, such as chat rooms, guestbooks, support centers, and so forth.

Re: hi and questions

Yeah, I was going to recommend flashchat too. I use it on 2 of my sites and my members love it - although it can be a little resource intensive (both on the server and user's PC).

Welcome along!
