Spell checker

Oh, first post!

Why not add a spell checker, would come in handy for those hard to spell words like 'pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
' or even 'antidisetablishmentarianism'

I am pretty concerned about the extra hits to the database on this one...

each word in a post is a seperate look-up.

In addition, most web lingo does not reside in a dictionary and I think this MOD would be more a pain in the ass, than it would be a help... especially on this forum that is prone to loads of Acronyms.

If ya can't spell, then who cares?? We all know what you are trying to say and if it's that much of an issue, I can always start a 'spelling' forum for those who want one.

I also think that the spell checker would have a field day with moderator and admin posts (They are plain html) and I'm sure it would love emoticons...

gotta say 'no' to this one guys!!

Spell checker????? If you are that concerned about it, which I can't see why the hell you would be, do your first draft in your Word program, and then do a grammar check on it, and then put your final draft here on the post. WHAT THE HELL!!!! Its not English class, I have enough of that as it is, just tipe sew Peeple can reed it!!!!
