Re: Best design for seo

The best method is to adhere to standards and seperate your design and your content utilizing valid and semantic markup, use tags correctly, and use CSS to control your visuals and layout. I am no SEO expert by any means but what I do know is content is king and the cleaner your markup etc the more efficiently the bots can harvest your data which in turn can significantly boost your search engine rankings.

Frames are bad. As to why there are many articles explaining it in detail so i won't really put it out here. Tables are good for tabular data and should be used for such.

MooJoo's right.

Semantic markup is the way to go. XHTML and CSS all the way.

XHTML with CSS and no tables or frames is the best way. Relavent sites linking to your site (without you linking back) are, from what I've gathered, is the most important thing followed by content.
