RentEv frames!

My Site is: www.RentEv.com !!

I was wondering if anyone could instruct me how to put a top fram in between my three existing frames: my frames are set up like so:

| | page |-|

I want it to look like this

| |^^^^|-|

---------------------------
Key:
---------------------------
| | = a complete vertical frame
---------------------------
| = left side of vertical frame
---------------------------
| = right sidevertical frame
---------------------------
|-| = a vertical frame with horizontal row (two frames... one on top and one on bottom of "-")
---------------------------
^^^^ = top frame (it doesn't cut off the vertical frames' height.)
---------------------------

What I DONT want:

^^^^^^
| | page |-|

I want the top horizontal frame to be in between the two side vertical frames.

--Thanks! hope I explained this well enough.

The site as is: www.RentEv.com .

Re: RentEv frames!

You're more likely to get advice on how NOT to use frames.

This may help on your road for design knowledge http://www.w3schools.com/.
It's a long road.

Re: RentEv frames!

Frames are outdated. There are much better methods to acheiving a frame-like effect without the accessibility problems associated with actual frames. Take a look into CSS. Properties you should pay attention to are "position" and "overflow."

Re: RentEv frames!

it does but you should be looking at the CSS bit.
CSS allows you to virtually map out your whole page (+ a lot more besides).
This may help you along the way, http://www.csszengarden.com/

Yw.
I only just started with CSS myself.
It looks a lot but you can see some of the advantages very quickly, and they just keep coming.

CSS has a rather sharp learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, you'll never turn back.

Re: RentEv frames!

CSS stands for Cool Sexy Saucyness. And that is no lie! But as stated it can be a bit tricky at times, even as you grasp it more and more, you do more and more complex things. It is awesome but at the same time it can be a headache.
