Help getting over mental block

Hi,

After frustration over Dreamweaver's inability to get it right when previewing my website on my IE6 browser, I'm considering coding it by hand. My problem is I have a mental block as far as HTML is concerned. although I know the tags, I find myself having to flip thru my reference material looking for tags. Can someone show me how to get over this? thanx

I've found this,

the way i've started to get over it is by practising, if you use them often enough then you'll find yourself remembering them slowly but surely.

That is why I use snippets =P. And lots of them. Code once, use over and over. One of the many things I like about skEdit is that you can also set hot keys to do stuff i.e. command + Shift + L wraps the selected text with a link tag complete with href="" title="" and places the cursor inbetween the <a></a>. That is just one of many examples that aid in my daily coding.

Snippets, hot-keys, all this and much, much more are available in HTML-Kit. If you are thinking of leaving DW, give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

It's free too ;-)

yeah HTML-Kit is pretty spiffy. if I did more dev in Windows I would use it. I do have it installed under my XP Pro install though and do use it when testing with IE.
