Paragraphs

I'm very new using dreamweaver and I know a bit of raw code as well. I'm looking to do something that has a paragraph on the left and then another paragraph at the right. I know this is possible with tables but can it be done through simple code.

You can also use layers - the div tag will do this.

However without any position such as a table or div tag I don't see a way you can do this.
