Buttons disappear on Rollover ONLY on PC

Hi folks,

I'm working on a site for a friend and it's just about done. I went to check it on IE on a PC (I work on Mac) and low and behold there was this problem I don't know what to do about.

The menus consist of image buttons that change slightly on rollover. Some open a pop up window, while others just go to a new browser window which replaces the menue page.

I think the problem is only with the buttons which open the pop up window. And I'm pretty sure this is probably due to my ignorance when it comes to javascript.

I use Dreamweaver, and the window to use for Setting Nav Bar images doesn't include an option to set values for pop up windows. It just gives you and option to go to an HTML page. So in addition to Setting the Nav Bar Image, I also have to enter the code for the Click to Open Browser Window.

The code is pretty messy - sorry. I don't know how to do this differently.
Also, I've only noticed this problem on PC IE...

Any suggestions?

I tried it in EI 6, Firefox and Opera 9 on a PC with WP Pro and they all worked.

I presume you are talking about the dotted frams that appears around the image?

The dotted frames that appears aroung the image is the "MouseOver" and "MouseDown" image, yes.

That's interesting, so none of the other buttons disappeared when you clicked on the buttons?

I retried it and did manage to find a button that disappeard in IE when clicked so it's not a consistent think obviously.

Could it be something like the image not being present in your 'mouse down' states.

I can see all the images in IE6 but, when I click the ones which activate new pop-ups, the button images (and sometimes the adjescent images) vanish until I move the mouse away, thus releasing the 'mouse-down' state.

If you have sliced images and linked some together that might explain it as well.

Most likely caused because your using Dreamweavers built in javascript rollover behaviour.

Use a css version instead.
