IFRAME ads and XHTML

How do you handle the inclusion of ads in IFRAME format while complying with XHTML (or strict HTML 4.01, for that matter)?

And while I'm on the subject, am I correct that you cannot use "hide from old browser" commenting in XHTML?

Re: IFRAME ads and XHTML

To emulate an iFrame while staying compliant, use <php> includes to utilize the convenience of an iFrame, and use the CSS:overflow property to acheive the "frame box" scrolling.

Not sure about your other question.

The situation with strict xhtml is that anything inside comments is exactly that. So its not a case of hide it from old browsers but new ones will see it.

If it's inside comments, then it's only seen when you look at the code.

Cool - you learn something new everyday! Granted I never used hide from older browser stuff, but thats something good to know.
