Extra code displaying in Firefox?

Hi,

I have created myself a basic website using Microsoft expression Web that i have uploaded to the server, but i am getting bits of text when displaying in Firefox that i don't get in IE. The code is also not there in the original HTML only when i upload it to the server and only in Firefox.

I'm getting this weird code in the top left of the screen

And  displayed next to any time there's a price stated on the site.

I have no idea what it is and why it only shows in Firefox.

My web address is http://www.laptoprepaircardiff.com

Re: Extra code displaying in Firefox?

you need to start by placing the correct doctype and character encoding into your site:

http://creativecoding.webforumz.com/...ur-website.php
http://www.alistapart.com/articles/doctype/

without this the browser doesn't know how to interpret your HTML code and is therefore makin gguesses as to how to show things, as such they are appearing differently in the differing browsers

Thanks for the reply WelshStew. However i have tried all the different doc types and none seem to sort out the extra bits of code, still keeps showing up in Firefox.

Re: Extra code displaying in Firefox?

I ended up trying all the doctypes that existed and still i was getting that weird extra code, so i took a closer look at my code and realised that in the top section of my site i had 2 different doctypes competing against each other.

The second doctype a few lines down had the first bit of code saying it was a doctype missing so i didn't notice it at first, so i removed it ran the optimize html function in expression web and everything is now fine.
