You say you're getting them in Word? Do they automatically become links in Word, because if they do can't you copy and paste the HTML Word produces into Dreamweaver?
I know that Word really sucks at producing high standards of HTML but maybe you can edit out the crappy bits? Might seem like a lot of work but gotta be better than creating 3300+ text links

they should automatically become links in vbulletin.... and rich text edit area in fact.
