i have created a webpage lay out it has about 7 sub pages with links they are all linked togather i used Word 2003 and its saved as a singe file webpage how do u get this on to the internet??? and i also want know how i can name the URL
such aswww.frank.com insted of a already chosedn preset URL such as www.nameididntwant.com/even/more/nonsence... please help me out!!! Last edited by sypher; Apr 14th, 2006 at 13:59. |

You need to purchase a host, and purchase a domain of your choosing.
Go to http://www.ukreg.com/ And check to see if the domain you want is available. |

i live in the united states and the only websites that i can find that publish webpages is in UK money does anglefire.com publish???

In the U.K. many I.S.P.'s provide a certain amount of webspace as part of their service to subscribers.
I assume your ISP doesn't do this. Once you have webspace, you will need the address and a tool to upload your files to this. I use Smartftp which is free for non-commercial use and relatively easy to use. Give it the ftp address, your name and password and you'll see a folder open which contains your webspace. Then you can simply drag and drop your files onto this one and watch everything transfer over. |
