Dreamweaver allways generates [enctype="multipart/form-data"] at the end of a form-tag clause if no action is given, as follows:
[<form name="DummyName" method="post" action="" enctype="multipart/form-data">]. However, someone that's done an ASP script for me (this is carrying on from my previous post) has left this out as follows: [<form name="DummyName" method="post" action="DummyForm.asp">] Again, the script works, so I'm assuming here that [enctype="multipart/form-data"] was left out because a form action is specified. So, does it matter which is used? - Last edited by a.jenery; Mar 22nd, 2006 at 03:12. |

Re: Another form-tag question
the enctype specifies if images/files are being sent in the form.
If not they you dont need it. |

Re: Another form-tag question
Many thanks.
Well, for some reason, the person who did the script left out enctype, although the script works fine and there is a form field in the form (the main point of having the form at all). What ever, I'll just be thankful that the ASP script works, with or without enctype |
