need help with a website... trying to avoid *shudders* frames

Hello,

I am looking for some help with a website I am working on. I have the website pretty much finished at this point. Here is a preview of the site

the background image issue has been fixed, just didnt upload the changes yet. The site works fine right now, however the band wants to add some flash to the site. I dont work with flash so they are putting me in touch with someone who does. We are going to put some minor effects on the human figure on the left side of the page. My question is this...

The background image stays put during scrolling, however if i replace that with a flash animation I dont know of a way to have it stay put during scrolling. The only way i can think of would be to use *gasp* frames. I hate frames and I would rather not use them, but I cant think of any other way.

Can anyone help me out here? Any ideas?

Hi Dan - if you don't get an answer here in the html areal, you might be better posting this question into the flash area, as there are some flash experts who just stay in that area, and they would have the best knowledge of how it integrates with other things (or someone might move this post there for you). I don't know the answer by the way, other than to say, you're right, don't use frames!

Nice looking site so far BTW, feel free to post it into the critique area when it's finished if you want specific feedback on it.
