Validation errors I can't resolve

Hi All

Please refer to the link below:

http://uk.geocities.com/johnson463@b...STD1LGOPT.html

In the validator, the HTML shows 39 errors but most are because of the rubbish that GEOCITIES put in my HTML when I upload! (I fully intend to buy some hosting when the site is ready). When I run the validator it is items 1-21 that I need to resolve.

The problems all seem to be with the <form>. The standard Paypal form wouldn't allow the option fields to alter the price so I done some research and found a way to do it and despite the form working the the validation errors appear. I want the page to be valid HTML but I need that form to let users select options that alter the price at the same time.

Any ideas folks?

Re: Validation errors I can't resolve

There are going to be things that you can't control. Paypal is one of them.
I have to ignore those too.
Geocities is obviously something you will have to ignore and the javacript stuff as well.

Sometimes you just have to balance out what you need vs what is possible. Paypal's html form's just appear not to validate. What can you do?

Why don't you just use the PayPal link? I ended up doing that on one of my sites a while ago.

No no no Ryan...lol in sales, you cannot make the shopper search out how to buy something. The add to cart button MUST be there for ease of shopping!

Oh, I see. I thought you meant a donate button! That'll learn me to look at the sites more closely.
