Question Expanding table backgrounds

First off i have no experience in webdesign at all.
in photoshop ive created two images that will make a nicely designed
table to put on my site, top image i have nice fonts that read bookmark us
and bottom image is exactly like the top image but it is upside down.
My question is how would i make the spacer image (background) that will connect the images together so i will have a complete table that i can put pictures in the table so i can showcase the photos.Basicly i want a table with rounded corners that i can use for photos.
Sorry if my words do not come out like i want them too!very confusing?

thanx a bunch

Re: Expanding table backgrounds

Round tables with corners, u need to make a 3 by 3 table (3 rows by 3 columns) then fill in the table with the colour u want it, adding the table corners to each corner

You will also need to align the images as they can move around when data is added.

Re: Expanding table backgrounds

Thanx for the help sypher,i will try this way and see how it comes out.
I still would like to learn how to make that spacer image because a script will
be inserting the photos for me and the table needs to be able to expand.
Here is the table im talking about, when photos are inserted by script the table needs to expand.
these are actually two images i need to figure out how to make the spacer .gif that i can use for
its background that goes between these two images.thanx Swack

Re: Expanding table backgrounds

If you do it right the table will automatically expand to the size of the image.

Re: Expanding table backgrounds

What you need to do is slice the image up so cut the corners, sides (upto where the shading is) on all sides, the middle is just blank colour, only the sides can not be accomplished with flat colour.

Then make the 3 by 3 table as i said before, making the sides top and bottom of the table a background image of the actual sides you have cut up, then attaching the corners as said previously

Re: Expanding table backgrounds

ok thanx for advice, would be a little easier that way.

I read in the photoshop tutorial about this and it said i had to make slices of
the image and then turn it in to a table but still havent figured it out yet.
I guess im just stubbern minded and want to do it the way photoshop says.I guess the way you all explained it would be the easier way of doing it so i will do it your way.But im not going to let it whip me! I think i have it figured out, hopefully.the way you all say to do it probaly is the way photoshop says too,im just confused for now.

Thank-you everyone for sharing your wonderful knowlegde!
Stay Safe
