Fighting a battle blindfolded, and swinging a gigantic mace.

I introduced myself in the forums earlier. I'm feeling really lost in two areas. (1) I have a lot of ideas and great software at my finger tips but I dont know where to start. (2) I'm not sure what questions to ask and how to ask the questions.

Right now I'm positve about...

-the "blue print" I sketched and the goals of the website.
-I'd like to use Photoshop (for image manipulation) and Dreamweaver (for the technical design).
-I'm starting to become familiar with Dreamweaver's layout/ tools and commands
-I'm interested in using Cascade Style Sheets and tables.

but my problems have been...

-reading too many "How tos, and Tutorials" and less production.
-I'm really confused about the process. Putting the steps in order.
-which iz causing trouble in starting production. (I dont want to lose work or time because I cant fix a mistake.)

(let me know if i need ta feel in any blanks/ missin' details.)

Every time I think I'm getting it, I become more confused.
I'd have a easier time rolling 3 consecutive doubles in Monopoly!!! GO TO JAIL!!!

If someone could take time to clear some smog, they'd step that much more closer to the Heavens!

*another chance to show off your knowledge*

I'm not entirely sure I understand your question. You're having trouble not knowing where to start, but start doing what? Template design? HTML markup? The design process in general? How much do you know so far?

The reason I ask this is that there's a lot of advice to give and we could be here all day, when only some of it is going to be applicable to you.

ok so you know what you want it to look like, then fire up photoshop and design it. When you have done that, post a jpg here so we can say "nah that sucks", or "yes thats great". Then when you are happy with the way it looks, fire up dreamweaver and begin building the homepage....

I think the problem is Template related. I wasnt sure about what to select in the Catagory and Page Design columns (I did wanna use CSS). Sirkent if you or someone could school me on some of the first steps in the production process that would probably get a spark started. Or some of the options I have beginning my design with PS and DW...

As stated be4 i'm really at a stand still.

Thanx
Tito
