Changing html through Macromedia?

I had a site done and the designer gave me Macromedia to make changes if i wanted to. I've tried to insert html into my site using Macromedia but doesnt work. Should i be able to?

If not how can i get at the original html code?

I'm going to contact the designer but i'd thought i'd ask here first. thanks

Yep, again. Just contact the designer. Tell him you want access to everything, all edit files, code, drafts, etc.
