Busted in IE7 shows in other browsers
I'm working on revamping a site and have run into a browser issue. I built the site in Dreamweaver on a Mac Platform. You can look at the pages at:
www.framesakeart.com/new/ You can view the source code from there. The pages shows fine on Mac platforms and on Windows platform with Netscape, Firefox, but busts apart with IE7. I am updating the roll over buttons on the left side. You can view the original site at www.framesakeart.com I found an extra anchor tags on the home page, which probably contribute to some of the errors, but found nothing on the other pages. The buttons are a "library" item which basically means they are a template. I can email you the code, but basically there is nothing that can't be seen by viewing source. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks G2 |

Re: Busted in IE7 shows in other browsers
Your table cells are mosting the wrong the size hold the images you placed in them. So you are seeing the gaps that actually exist.
For instance the basket photo by Diane Powers is 325x 373 but the table cell it's in is about 50 pixels taller in height. So you have a top gap of 25 px and a bottom gap of 25 px. You have 2 extra </a> in the menu. This graphic <img src="base_images/fsams_05.jpg" width="27" height="313" alt=""> Does go down far enough, leaving a gap to the bottom left of the navigation. The entire library item (menu) does not fit snuggly in your table cell. There are gaps at the top and also on the right side. Your table width is 851 pixels, and even your four images that make up the header only equal 850 pixels. So little things like that will show up in IE. If you look at your design in "design view" you should be able to see ALL the gaps. Maybe you won't if you see the background color... so change the page background color to white or black and the gaps will be very noticable. |

Lchad,
Thanks for the help. I'll need some time to sort through all of this, but it looks consistent throughout all the pages. G2 |

Re: Busted in IE7 shows in other browsers
Gee just rereading my post. I was all thumbs .. first line made no sense at all.
It should have said, some of your table cells are the wrong size. They are larger than the image placed inside of them. Quote:
