Website Table Layout

Dear WebForumz Members:

I have built my website's layout using tables. Everything looks fine in Internet Explorer at a resolution of 800x600, however, the problem is the layout is messed up at higher resolutions and when viewing in Netscape. Could you someone please take a look at my source code and see if they can detect the problem or at least think of a possible solution. Thanks!

I stopped using tables layouts months ago and I'll never go back... however I am not going to stuff this down your throat but merely offer this advice....

For tables, make sure you are using percentage widths on every relevant cell (If you want the layout to stretch) and above all, keep nested tables to a bare minimum(this is often what kills netscape)

I think the best advice I can give, is to begin learning CSS / XHTML for your layouts and dump tables... you will pick it up quite quickly and believe me when I say, you'll thank me, and never use tables again.

Dear Rob:

Thanks for your advice. I do currently use CSS for several of my websites, however, I tend to have some problems when trying to use DIV layouts to position the header, left menu, and the main content sections. What CSS script would do what I want it to do based on the current layout?

Regards,
Mike
