How to set default size for html page?

Ive had this problem where when i create a page with lets say frontpage and I view it on my computer, it looks fine and centered. But when i access my site from another computer with a different sized monitor, it looks a lot different and uncentered. How do I get my page to look the same on every computer no matter the size? Thank You.

Re: How to set default size for html page?

Are you using tables or div boxes to layout your page? Can you show us an example?

Re: How to set default size for html page?

That's the problem when creating sites using WYSIWYG editors (i.e. FrontPage, DreamWeaver design view, etc...), you never know what will show up in your browser. You need to get away from these softwares. Go with something like Notepad++ or if you really want to use DW, stick to code view. Learn how to code by hand.

Now ... after all that ... if you want us to help you, you need to give us a link to you site. If you don't have this online, there are plenty of free hosts out there. At the very least you can give us the code.

Well for example, with the page below, It should a full page view without having the user scroll up or down or sideways. Im guessing it wont be the same for you.

Re: How to set default size for html page?

I viewed it on my laptop and it looks ok. I do have to scroll down (which isn't the end of the world in my opinion) and don't have to scroll sideways (which is a good thing). The only problem for me on this page is that the text overflows your div box a bit. Here is a screenshot:
