Sizing of a page

Hi there, I would like to know if there is any code that is common to add to html that will automatically open to whatever dimensions that they have set up on there computer cause i do not want people to let say have huge desktop to have to scroll side ways on there browser to see the whole website !

Haha, I know what you mean. You need fluid designs. You can use percentages instead of pixels to define an element's width.

This however is a double edged sword, you have to take in account a few things. Some people with high resolutions tend to use full screen browser windows which can cause really wide and difficult to read layouts. 80% or so is generally good or 770px for fixed width, of course it also depends on your target. If you know your demographic then you can make adjustments accordingly.

i.e. gaming sites will generally have visitors with better stat computers.
