How do I Remove Template Tags from html?
Hi All,I have attempted building a site using Templates in Dreamweaver MX2004. Created a number of Editable Regions within this template. Saved each new completed content page as a html page. What I have noticed is that I am now unable to change any meta tags in my html pages. I have clicked on Modify - Remove Template Markup in the Template page. Template page: http://www.businesscoaching4entrepre...m/BusCoach.dwt It has not cleared the Editable Region in the html pages. One particular region that I need to change info on each html page is my links under heading Other Article Header goes Here. Example: http://www.businesscoaching4entrepre...epreneurs.html How do I remove all regions in my html page without having to do this through the Template - /BusCoach.dwt? Would be so pleased if you could help. Thanks |

Re: How do I Remove Template Tags from html?
Personally id just learn Xhtml and build your own site.... it'd probably take a normal person (who tried) about a day to learn how to build a plain xhtml site of the standard of that template.
hope you didnt pay for it |

Re: How do I Remove Template Tags from html?
Did you fill out your meta tags in the .dwt file?
If so, delete the meta tags in the .dwt and make a change across all the html pages. That should clear them. Then you can fill them out on each individual page. I'm unsure about the rest of your post. Editable regions should be empty regions in your .dwt file. Then you fill them in on the html files. Hope that helps? Linda |

Re: How do I Remove Template Tags from html?
I have alot of experience with template due to te fact thats what we have to use here at school because we have stupid people who like to jack up our codeing so I might be able to help you out with this problem.
Think of it like this... You ave an original paper that your writing and your photocopying it. You look at the first couple of pages and notice a few mistakes, luckily you wrote the original paper in pencil, so you can just go back and erase and fix your mistakes. What im trying to get at is just go back to your original (your .dwt) and make the changes. As soon as you make the changes they will occur throughout all your pages. Always use your .dwt to make ay changes in your codeing and your pages will run smoothly just as an external css document. Sweet sweet css |
