mayhem :)
Hey Everyone,
I have been working on my google maps social networking site (www.magellantics.com/main.php) for a while now and I would like to be able to offer people embeddable maps. I have never attempted anything like this before but I decided to go for a remotely linked page within an tag. This seems to work fine in fireforx and safari but it doesn't work in internet explorer. The window gets rendered blank. I tried it with a simple "Hello World" page and I get the same result, a blank window. I tried the same thing with an iframe and that does work on all browsers but it isn't part of xhtml strict and on top of that seems to be better supported by other social networking sites. I made a test site here: www.geocities.com/skymartijn/index.html This should demonstrate what does and what doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea of whats going on and how to fix it? Maybe using a remotely linked page (whether with object or iframe) is not the way to go for an embedded map? Does anyone have any thoughts on this? |

Re: mayhem :)
Sorry, I hate to turn people away from this wonderful place, but maybe there's a forum out there that's more geared to that end of the internet.

Re: mayhem :)
Is there maybe a way to embed a map through flash? I don't have any experience with this, just wondering.
