Unhappy Layouts turn messy in firefox

hi all,
i'm not sure this is the right place to post my questions as i'm new here.

i'm a graphic designer who's not code savvy, i basically put all my design in dreamweaver together with css. the layouts are perfectly shown in internet explorer, but become mess in firefox.

here are the links to my sample pages:
http://www.virtuoso.com.my/hwang_te..._committee.html
http://www.virtuoso.com.my/hwang_te...tor_family.html

i've validated both html & css with this test file, the layout still looks bad in firefox...

Re: Layouts turn messy in firefox

It's always best to design in Firefox first. As Firefox is standards compliant, CSS will do as it's told in that browser for the most part. IE, on the other hand, has so many bugs and quirks with regards to CSS, it's far easier to find a way around the problems, rather than trying to tackle incorrect CSS and forcing it to display improperly in Firefox.

Also, I'm getting 404 for all the links you posted...

Ah, those links are better

Here, have a look at this article on CSS shorthand. It will make your CSS so much easier to read and edit:

Also, since you're working in the area of CSS, why not just drop the tables completely? Tables are meant for tabulated data, not website layouts.
