Re: site maps

Sorry to be a pain,

But could you elaborate a little more?

Are we talking about a site map for submission to google?.... or a site map for your visitors to view to assist in navigation?

If its the latter, id suggest not bothering, and opting for an easy to understand navigation system instead, usingyour homepage as a sort of hub or main index.

If the latter, its very easy to write your own using XML, ill didg some info up for you if u need it??

Re: site maps

If it's site maps for use by Google then use a tool made for the job.

I use http://gsitecrawler.com/

Re: site maps

sorry to be a "showstoper" geoff

but where google and sitemaps are concerned it is (in my opinion) better to write your own.

The XML uyou need to do this is so easy to learn that my grandmother could handle it.

I dont know what your tool does geoff but writing your own allows you to inform google of lots of bits of info like the last date you updated etc.

It really isnt that hard ..... Geoff could you elaborate on the functionality of that tool, just to give it a fair chance for others looking for this info mate plz?

Re: site maps

I usually code them myself, but those programs do make it go faster.
