If the .com & .co.uk had gone.....
Which extension would you go for? I'm thinking .net
Or would you put in a hyphen in? I'm still thinking just .net Of course I could always choose a different domain name, but I quite like this one, and most things I fancy have gone. hhhmmm. Of course I'd quite like something unique that no-one else has but I haven't found a good name yet that is unique. Decisions, decisions. |

Re: If the .com & .co.uk had gone.....
If your market's only uk based, I'd say it doesn't matter and would opt for ".co.uk" only based on economy (if it's good enough for the bbc...).
If it's international, ".com" Having said that, if you buy a ".co.uk" address, anyone else can come along and buy the ".com" version. For no special reason, I tend to put more weight on .com domains as belonging to more professional companies. Just an impression. I would use .net if the extension actually added something to my choice of domain name. IE:- www. Trawler-Equipment .net. Last edited by Legacy_Staff; Aug 23rd, 2006 at 22:08. |
