My first server question

Im wondering if you can make a server run through some sort of proxie set up so that for talk sake if it was in the USA that it would show up as being in asia for example. Can this be done?.

Im wanting to learn about anonymous servers as myself and a friend are very much disagreeing on this subject. I think you can do this and he says it is not very possible.

I think some people in univerrsity just talk crap to us.

It can be easily done if you use proxy services, check if your host provides this kind of service, if not, you can get it from other hosting companies. I used to get it from hqhost.net.

Do you mean a proxy just for browsing? or a full on one?
If the former, you can just use a PHP proxy script.

HqHost.net provides just proxy and VPN accounts. Their prices aren't expensive. Guess they can be used for that purpose.

As far as I remember rightly Webhostingbuzz.com allows to use proxy web sites on their dedis. Contact their support to know more about that.

It is possible but no one appreciate it. A significant portion of online fraud comes from proxy websites or from people who use proxy.
