Re: renew of website

Do you mean the domain name registration has expired or the website is outdated or even the hosting?

Re: renew of website

Surely if the domain name registration has expired you should be able to renew it through and domain registration company as long as nobody else has registered that domain name

Re: renew of website

That's because another company has bought it and if you email them, they'll sell it for about £200-500. Else the ads will stay..

This is the person to contact. Is this the webhost that you used when you had it? (Not you but the inlaws)

If not, then it's probably going to cost quite a bit of money!

Re: renew of website

Ok, I don't know how much you have investigated but the whois information shows the registration expired 10-25-2007. Prior to that it appears to have been hosted on Ghoulet Ltd (http://www.ghoulnet.com ). They have a note up about sites they were hosting. You should read it.

The name registration is now part of

The above company was where it was hosted.

Looking further into it and the below company afternic seem to own it i think, they say that they will forward a bid to the owner lowest bid $200 with an administration fee of $69.

Why do i always have to learn the hard way??

Re: renew of website

I take it that this company has now registered the domain name? What makes it worse is that they registered it recently, i think they own the domain for something like 7 years so you would have to pay or register a new domain name.

If this is UK site, is there no possiblility of using a .co.uk domain extension instead or using a slightly different domain name but very similar
