Passwords on pages
Hi, i'm new and i have never designed a website before now i have got it up on my new domain using the server from yahoo small businesses.
Q. how do i put a password on a webpage so people have to be a member to download files. anyway that doesnt need me to know the perl folder as yahoo doesnt have it visible because they say any page can run scripts, same for the cgi-bin. i just need a nice easy way of doing it. Thanks very much for your help philip |

Re: Passwords on pages
What i did was, i found a new way of people getting acess to my subdirectory as i gave the link address right upto the filename but it doesnt allow that, so i thought about it and took off the filename and now the website goes to all of the files.I suppose it will do although it would have been good to have it go straight to the file and download. Then yahoo just allows you to add password to the subi still cant do page passwords but thats ok
