CDOSYS

We are having a problem using CDOSYS using localhost as the remote host on our dedicated hosting package with www.1and1.co.uk

The CDOSYS has been working fine until last week, and any mail now being sent using this system on our contact us page http://www.skirmishessex.co.uk/contactus.asp is getting sent back to us several days/ hours later as being delayed.

We’ve been onto the 1and1 technical support and they were no help, saying as we have a dedicated server it is our problem to sort out any software issues on the server. Seems a bit strange as the server was supplied to us pre-installed with the CDOSYS script, so it’s not as if we installed it ourselves.

As a result we have no idea how to fix the problem. Can anyone please help?

If so, can they provide a step-by-step idiots guide?

Many thanks

Andy

Asa follow on from my query, I don't think the problem is with the CDOSYS script, but with the localhost.

Reason being I have tried to send teh mail using SoftArtisans SMTPmail, and we get the same problem with mails being delayed by hours/ days.

How do we fix the SMTP server localhost?

open up IIS and right click on smtp server and go to properties, have a look and make sure everything is ok, check the relay restrictions. Also look in Inetpub/mailroot folder and look in queue or drop or pickup for possible explanations.
