IXWebhosting

Hi,

I have just had a falling out with my host (servage!), they are saying there is nothing wrong with the hosting, when it is obviosly not resolving properly(keeps saying pages aren't there when they are as we have been using them for months and when you refresh they are showing! I thought it was a browser issue at my end but all my members have emailed me about it.). I need to switch to a host with high storage amounts and high bandwidth amounts.

Has anyone ever used / know anything about http://www.ixwebhosting.com/index.ph...anBusinessPlus in regards to their reliability etc?

I am looking at their unlimited pro package at the moment, which looks reasonable.

Thanks in advance,

Ross

Cheers, I had a look at them, the bandwidth is great but the webspace is too small.

I second site5 too. They're nice. Why do you need more than 55GB?

Re: IXWebhosting

I release remix albums monthly (500 mb +) from my site and after a while we will end up having to switch to a larger host, so I thought it made sense to have the larger host rather than fill up one then go through the hassel of switching it all over.

Re: IXWebhosting

you'd think site5.com was affiliated with the forum the amount the staff push it.

we are hosted by www.wesh.co.uk - a very good hoster - have a look. www.webforumz.com and www.worldfootballforums.com are both hosted on it!

Re: IXWebhosting

You may also look at www.webhostingbuzz.com. I've heard they are great having quite affordable prices.

Re: IXWebhosting

Hey Ross,
I have IX and their support is great. Online chat and if something more complex, they respond fast. I don't have experience with any other host, so nothing to compare to.

I made the mistake of getting the windows plan, which is more expensive and more of a headache. It is the only problem I have had out of them. Trying to get the ISAPI rewrite Lite. They would not allow me, so I have to pay for Full version and they will install. [that may not matter to you but be sure not to do windows hosting for future uses.

Overall I give them 7 out of 10.

Re: IXWebhosting

Cheers (I'm back )

I'm still looking at hosting at the moment as I am now pushing close to 7200 gb of transfer a month over 2 hosting packages. I have been told about www.hostrocket.com, but their constant price changes seems strange and untrustworthy.

Thanks again for your suggestions

Ross
