There are tonnes of free domain hosts around but i just thought I'd post up
my personal reccomendations:

ZendURL
and
AwardSpace

ZendURL provides:
  • 200MB of web space
  • No Advertisements
  • Has a basic, advanced and a WYSIWYG editor
  • Lets you script in CGI, Perl, PHP and SSI
  • Gives you a collection of pre-scripts (like counters and guestbooks)
  • Top level domain (eg. www.yourdomain.ZendURL.com)
  • POP3 email
  • MySQL databases
  • addon domains
  • Custom error pages
  • 10,000MB bandwidth limit
AwardSpace provides:

I'm not a big fan either but sometimes you need a place to test your material and get others to have a look - free hosting is that opportunity.

microsoft are offering free web sites and domains without the the site prefix on the address www.example.microsoft.com but your own domain name free i couldnt get it to work for me maybe they where still building the server www.microsoft.com

i use a free hoster - uk.to.

Ryan...you need to change hosts to site5.com!! I recently changed to them, all support requests answered within 5 min. Also they seem to be friendly, and what not with loads of space and bandwidth...check them out!!
