Slicing help - is this possible?

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to re-dsign my site but i am having some problems with slicing in PS. I want the content in the middle to move down the page as I add more content. But i need the left and right colums to stay static and not strech. I hope that makes sense?

If anyone could help me out with this or point me in the right direction I'd be really greatful.

Regards,
Matt

That is completely doable with CSS. look at your layout and think how it could be sliced up to work.

[ Masthead ]
[ menu ]
[ menu bottom graphic ]

etc etc

I've been looking at it for the last two days. I've only just started using css for tables and before that only for links and what not, simple stuff.

I've done rounded corners before but this is different? The inset lines i put in are just confusing me. I got it to move down a bit but it always pulls the left down, where the wires are.

I'll figure it out..just frustrating!

Cheers

Its not all that different from a table layout, just without tables. You can slice it up the same way and use divs/css.

Tables are not evil! They just get abused like a red headed step child.
