critiques for unfinished websites?

I'm working on a web site, but it's not up yet. Is this a place to get a critique on it's progress so far?

I attatched what I have so far if it is.

Sector VII is a gaming center. I wanted to stray away from the clean cut technical feel that most gaming website's have. I tried to still incorporate the technical feel, but add an organic, earthly.. grunge feel to it as well. I was trying to convey intensity, activity.. I want the viewer to think "that looks fun" or "badass".

I figured there are three types of viewers that this company will be having.

1. people who know nothing about gaming centers
2. people who know what a gaming center is, but want more information
3. people who are already members/avid goers and want to visit the forum

I killed 3 birds with one stone as much as I could,

1. i put a picture of the computers right on the first page so they have an idea of what theyre dealing with.
2. I made the links bold, centered, easily accessible.. main focus next to the title and main image
3. out of all the links, I made the forum the central focus, easy to find right away.

If I had to critique myself, I think my biggest problem is the text for the links.. it needs work-- doesn't seem to fit too much.

The box at the bottom is where all of the content will show up.

I don't know about color psychology for this because I've never used a gaming center. But I think the graphic is way cool.

I can say this: The effect such a strong graphic will have is to alienate a larger percentage of people, but to really appeal strongly to a smaller percentage of people. It gives a cult flavor to the gaming center.

Hm, and this is what I want-- to appeal to gamers; correct?

Think that's what Mason said.

That is a nice graphic but wouldn't you be better asking in the 'Critique' section?
