Roller/brushstroke effects in Fireworks

Hey guys..

Just wondered if anyone knew how to get roller/brushstroke effects on photos like the header on http://mattbrett.com/

I think it's an incredible effect but I can't figure out how to do it...

Re: Roller/brushstroke effects in Fireworks

Few ways to do it.

1. Find a brush that looks like that

2. Make a brush that looks like that

3. Make a shape and use brushes, and vector with a grain set on the stroke etc and lay with opacities, selectively add/delete blah blah blah

It is a similar technique to this. You just need to adjust to your own needs/wants.

Re: Roller/brushstroke effects in Fireworks

It's done with brushes as Mooj' suggested.
You could either play around with your own brush settings or visit some of the links in my sticky and see if you can find some freely available 'grunge' brushes to download (best to do 'em yaself though, more rewarding).
