does Painter really do particle brushes?
Heya, I am looking for feedback from users of 2D and 3D users with particles. Not the type seen in ParticleIllusion, more for painting still images.
Someone (on another forum) thought that 'Painter' can draw with particles and create effects like foliage and shrubbery and hair like what PD Particles does. I haven't been able to see anything to that effect though. MS Acrylic (Expression) used to have particles before MS took it over, but nothing like PD Particles/Optipustics according to one of their beta testers, and MS took it out. So I'm wondering, other than Maya's 3D particles and some $150 plugin from Cinema 4D, the name of which escapes me right now, and both of which are 3D particle generators AFAIK, so not the same, is PD Particles the only application to have something like that for 2D painting of foliage with particles? -Philip |
