I went for a course in photoshop and there was this small part about colour theory. They said that colour theory had a lot to do whether someone likes your site or not. If you have a innate 'taste' and know where to choose, then you should be more or less alright. But once you develop or have a specific preference/bias or you are don't have a good 'taste' for colours, then your whole project can be ruined. Just by the colour scheme. They showed examples of flash sites and sites using the same hue, but with a different 'saturation' or 'shade', which were properly used, and then sites which use vibrant colours or colours which are the primary colours, but saturated a lot ( there're many flash sites like that ). For instance, webforumz uses similar hues ( from blue of course ) and it works out okay. But if someone knows the colour theory, then I think webforumz can turn out to be quite revolutionary. Oh yeah by the way, one really shouldn't use the many colours in photoshop. One should set a colour scheme for any web design project and then work on it, by using similar colours, or by contrasting them to create that lively effect. But my question anyway : Does anyone know any good sites on colour theory or can guide me along it?
