Photoshop Problem?

Hi
Im trying to colour an image which is black and white in Photoshop.The problem is that it won't let me colour it with any other colour that isn't black, white or grey!!! WTF???? Why can't I actually colour it???? When I click on, say, the foreground colour (the two squares) I pick for example blue, but the square doesn't turn blue and my brush isn't painting blue!!!

It's in greyscale mode....

Go to IMAGE > MODE

And you should see all the different settings, CMYK, RGB (adobe), LAB etc.

Generally you'd go with CMYK for print, and RGB for anything displayed on a monitor.

Switch it to which ever is appropriate and you should be able to use colour again.
