Blog Design?

Hi All

I don't know if this is the correct place to put this, so please move if needs be..

Please find attached my new blog design, using wordpress, I would just like some critique on it. I feel as though the header just needs that, err... I don't know, just that little graphical addition!

So could you please critique it!

I know yeah, that is exactly my thinking to. But just can't quite put my finger on it! Hmm... I think it needs to be graphical though!

Do you have different pages to your blog, if you do you could have something relevant to that particular, either decent graphics or text?

Yess I will be having different pages on my blog!
An about me, portfolio (linked to my main site) and a contact me page!
So on all these different pages I am going to change the character image strikeing another pose!

But i feel i need some cool graphic in the main area, because looks abit bare at the moment!

Anyone else got any suggestions on what I could add?

Try putting the name of the page in that free space between your banner and search box. For example, if that screenshot u have attached is your homepage, have 'Welcome' in big letters, either in the same colour blue as the search box, or white with a drop shadow

how about a tagline ?

Alternatively, make the graphic with the dude with the ?mobile? a bit smaller so you can move everything up, oh and the eyes could do with a minor adjustment, is it me or are they a bit skewiff.

apart from that, nice, clean, simple, colours good.

Can anyone think of any suitable taglines then?
It is a blog that is showing and stating all my findings in the web design/development area, and also my random ramblings!

So can anyone help me with a tag line?

I know what you mean about the eyes, a few people have commented about that! But, this vector was my first vector drawing, so was still learning, and I would like to change the eyes, but just don't no what and how to do so :S

Thanks for both of your inputs, I felt it needed something there from the start, but was really unsure as to what to add there, I was thinkin more graphical to be honest with you, but I am liking the tag line idea, Just I am unsure of what tag line, so If anyone can help It would be muchly appreciated
