SI - Logo Design [CRITIQUE] (OPEN)

Hi Guys - Have been designing the logo for my company for quite some time now.

I am quite happy with it. The logo is all my work - with some custom letters.

It's mainly a web design business I think - but I'm not sure what I want to do with it. I just like the name.

P.S: Please don't mention name in thread - I don't want it found by SEs.

All critique welcome.

Thanks,
Ed

Getting slightly back on topic here, nice looking logo.

The logo matches the company/website name, simple yet affective. Like the colour scheme, very nice looking logo overall

CREATIVE logo I must say... This is what web 2.0 logo SHOULD look like!
You just have to convert it into PNG file and throw away the white background.

Re: SI - Logo Design [CRITIQUE] (OPEN)

Thanks Guys! I really like it too - I have spent a good bit of time designing, looking for inspiration and came across this method by accident. I really like the text as well.

Monie, I've already converted to PNG. Have a look at the site. Just add .com to the ending of the name. (You know why!)

Thanks,
Ed

P.S: I know there's a Lorem Ipsum generator - just wanted to sound funny. I've used it quite a lot and it's fairly handy! Thanks though WelshStew.

Great looking site, really nice design. On the mainimagecolor.jpg image, you have not got rid of the white top left and right corners, just though it tell ya

Thanks Craig! At the moment, I'm testing the site so nothing is in it's right place or anything!

I think you'll find it's changed since your last look.

About PNG, no there's no way of doing this! Unfortunately, you'd have to start from scratch with PS. Unless you have a PSD, which you can just hide the white background layer.

Thanks,
Ed

Well, not really! You could use the eraser tools or any selection tools that that you familiar with to delete the white background color in your .jpg file and save them as PNG which will make the image transparent where the deletion has been made to that image

Try playin with that unitedcraig, or you could give me your image and I'll teach you how! Cheers...

Great logo . In terms of improvement theres not much I can think of maybe put a white overlay on half of the square icon with an opacity of about 30% not sure if it would look nice just mess around a little bit more just to double check you've cracked it. But I think it looks pretty snazzy .
