fireworks vs photoshop

hi everyone!

I am using dreamweaver 8 to create my web sites, and i d like to learn an imaging program for the web. What it would be better to learn in your opinion
photoshop or fireworks and why?

Doesn't matter ... they both offer pretty much the same thing. It's just a matter preference in the end. Both are very good choice. Choose one, learn it and stick with it

ok thanks. and sth else: can DW8 co-operate in the right way with
fireworks CS3?

What do you mean by "co-operate"?

i mean if they can work together correctly without conflicts because of the
different editions of each other.

I really don't see what the point is?!

Firework or PS should be use to create the images/backgrounds/whatever for your site.

DW should be use to code the site ... I suggest sticking to code view and hand-code your site.

So ... in the end ... what does it matter what version or what software you are using?

You *could* just as easily use Notepad and Paint to create a website

i just made this question because dw and fireworks have a closer relationship
and now dw8 i am using is macromedia's and fireworks CS3 adobes
