Can anybody tell me Why this is happening?

I've just noticed that the graphics on some of my website are showing a very light blue tinge on other people's computers, but not on mine.

For example i have the logo, which is inserted as an image file and even though the background is white on white around the logo is white and looks perfect on my computer , on my wife's computer you can definitely see a faint blue background the entire size of the image.

I have tried a transparent background - it only made the blue even darker. I tried painting over it in white again - a little improvement - but still a slight blue/grayish appearance.

I've now gone through a bunch of my sites and low and behold most have the same result.

Also i notice a whole lot of "noise" - blurriness/dirtiness around other text rollover images? Once again perfect on my computer but a disaster on others??

Why? I'm no graphic artist. I'm saving images and graphics in the top quality (12) in photo shop, I've tried all types of files. jpeg, png , gif.
And I've search hi and low online - no info?

Can anyone give me a reason?

Buscar's index page seams o.k - differnert image, try using the search and se what happens.

They both look fine to me. Are you sure it's not just your wife's computer?

I don't know. My wife's laptop is brand new. I did post this question on a couple other forums, a few people said they say the problem too.
One suggestion was to use an eye dropper tool. Another said that the background was infact not white.

I,m going to mess around a bit shortly with the sites, and then i'll report back and you can take a look see if the suggestion make a diff.

The first site looks excellent.
The second site "buscar" on other pages the blue is not exact.
I would use the eye dropper tool. Pick up the color in the stripe of the header and use it as the background of the logo.

I have a program that when I try to pick up a color it will be just a shade off. Maybe that's happening to you as well.

I used the eyedropper tool - i think i see now the problem - the background is actually slightly off white - and on brighter screens like my wife's new laptop you see it ever ore clearly.

I' going to work on the graphic and then back to you, thanks for all the help and suggestions so far.
