Favicon

I want to make a favicon today..... but i dont have photoshop installed on this pc.

I have fireworks, but that wont let be export to a .ico file

any idea's on how i can get this done today without having to leave my nice warm office ?

I had that same problem, but its a real easy fix.
Navigate to the file in your Windows Explorer (or wherever it is you can view files stored on your computer) and rename the file by changing the extension from .png to .ico ...Simple

What type of image was it. A gif...or a png?

The way i was taught was to save it as .BMP then convert to .ICO in paint by saving as .ICO
