curved lines

I remember I was making curved line ok a month ago. Now I can't seem to get curved lines in photoshop! ??: I know this sounds stupid, but I really forgot how to do it.

I recall I used to use the pen tool to draw curved lines, and remove the fill or something and now, when I draw a curve. The top part and end part of the curve has a line, which cannot be removed when I make fill opacity = 0. ( which was a trick which used to work ) Any ideas on how to make curved lines? Thanks.

when you draw thr curve, the pen tool has a setting (at thetop of the screen below file, edit, etc that changes between drawing filled shapes and drawing just lines. I expect you have filled shapes selected.

Yes. I think you did that... with other options too like "shape layers", "paths" and "fill pixels"

I could have selected "paths" and in the Paths tab, chose Stroke. But what I want is not a pencil stroke or whatever, but your typical line.

Please help!

Alright. I figured this out.

Draw a curve using Paths, and then in your Paths tab ( go windows -> path if not already open ), right click your work path ( should be Work Path or Work Path 2, etc ), and then select stroke path. Stroke it with pencil temporarily. Afterwards, go to Edit->Stroke. Then sleect your desired colour and pixel size. Do note that this does not work in Background ( the Stroke option under Edit will be disabled ). Enjoy!
